BLOC Inc is an Amatuer Musical Theatre Company which aims to produce high quality, professional style productions.

We produce musicals in major venues around Sydney and the Inner City. Our aim is to provide a professional environment for young (and young at heart) performers to engage in large scale musical productions. Typically our productions run for 3 weeks although we are always looking for unique opportunities to show-case our performers.

Our show selection to date includes such classics, Oklahoma and Pirates of Penzance as well as more technically difficult works such as Into the Woods and Chess.

We engage well known professionals to perform most of the non-performing roles in out productions this includes Orhcestra, Lighting, Sound, Set-Design, Marketing and Publicity. Ensuring that the standard of show we present to you is of the highest level.

The Mikado

The Mikado, or The Town of Titipu, is a comic opera in two acts, with music by Arthur Sullivan and libretto by W. S. Gilbert, their ninth of fourteen operatic collaborations. It opened on March 14, 1885, in London.

BLOC's performance of The Mikado will be performed at the Sydney Theatre in the heart of Sydney between the 6th and the 15th of November 2008.
